Design smartphone

I accidentally looking at a contest poster about designing mobile at university notice board. I had trying to learn blender many times before. But always give up in the way. It was so difficult. Then i search internet to design a mobile use gimp but i only found designing use photoshop. I know, using image editor to design was not actually design, it just like drawing. But this my little step.

I followed tutorial to create mp3 from here - design mp3 player tuts ¹, but somehow in the process it looks more to smartphone. So, i tweak to become a mobile phone. From here i notice that,

1. Use blur or gaussian blur will make it looks like curve.
2. Photoshop and gimp really different to each other.
3. Repeating duplicate layer then move it down was really easy and beatiful skills but lot of works.
4. I need to learn about lightning.
